Guilty. Though I rate Maddison highly. I think both could play alongside each other.

Odegaard has raised his level since then though. Great to see. It’s almost as if he’s just realising how good he is or can be and he’s starting to be more courageous - we’re now seeing a lot more penetration particularly when running with the ball

So glad he's proved me wrong. I was concerned he'd be regularly swallowed up in the bigger games, and that his vision and creativity was "pretty good" at best.

He's pulling out the tricks in addition to the beautiful through-balls now, at an elite playmaking level.

Claudius nah it wasn't that, I really liked Ode and was chuffed when we eventually signed him. So appreciated what he brought to the table. But yeah, the G/A that Maddison brought to the table was what swung it for me, because at the time it was something we were severely lacking in.

goon there were many stats which showed how productive he was for us in xA and clear cut chances created though. Having Laca leading the line really misled many.

Has been incredible last two games. Really pushing on with goals as well which is much needed. We don't have a 25+ goal scorer in our squad so all our players will need to chip in.

Had some doubters earlier on in the season but you even though he was as spectacular as he is now he usually does the basics right.

L’Equipe giving Ode high praise as one of the two finest mids in the league. First paragraph says it’s KDB, Ode far in the distance ahead of everyone else. He’s really earned it. The way he keeps unlocking levels is scary.
