The more I watch him the more he starts to remind of Lampard, actually. He roams, presses high, and comes alive at the edge of the box. He's a bit chaotic, positionally. An attacker from deep. He's also the main man at Newcastle, so his teammates look for him first. Not sure that would be the case, here.
He also doesn't seem to make a lot of tackles, certainly nowhere near Rice or Zubi's level on that front.
I'd be a bit annoyed if we sign Bruno but not Vini (but in my heart, we'll get him). We'd have essentially made the signing where we are already stacked to add attacking threat from midfield instead of just fixing the attack. This in turn will make us sacrifice playing one of our best players and/or our super-exciting midfield talent.
Sign both, and I'm happy. Let Bruno slog it out with the other best midfielders in the league (they all play for us, already).
