I had a very strong feeling Ode was gonna be back or step up. He has always been Mr Reliable at Arsenal and there was reason Arteta stuck with him as captain. His assist vs West Ham proved that to me and after the long lay off last season i knew he HAD to be working on himself if he wanted to stay. Ton of respect for him for working himself back in form & i can see him having an impactful first half of the season.

Glad to hear he looks better, I think the world cup performances will do wonders for his confidence. Sometimes after a bad lay off it is mentally hard to get back to your best and start to fully trust your body.

It’s because we won the league, that massive burden is off his shoulders now.

I’ve always said he was the biggest victim of us finishing 2nd and as captain of the team it must have been killing him inside. A lot of baggage he held on to. Now we won the league there is no surprise he looks a lot more free. However, sample size is very small so let’s not get too overboard just yet. But it’s looking good for a comeback.

I agree with you - but also look at the Bruno highlights and the position Odegaard's taking up now when Bruno is on the ball. He's much closer to the front three.

Last season - whether through instruction or preference - he'd always drop deep and then through form and fitness wasn't able to get up quick enough.

We have players who need active load management. But that doesn't mean being left out of the squad for midweek games. In fact it's usually best served playing some in almost every game but not finishing many games you start. Rhythm is important too.

Yes, they probably should not be playing in the league cup, at least not in the earlier rounds.. But saying 'other than occasional CL game' is crazy. They will want to be playing in every CL game, and doing incredibly well in the group stage is super important, as we saw last year.
