He was one of our best players for a handful of years and a huge part of why the White/Saka partnership was so successful.
In this first few years he stayed wiser and didn’t contribute goals, but he adapted and became better balanced.
Since then we’ve seen Saka, White and Odegaard fall off. It’s mostly physical as none of them trust their bodies.
I don’t see moving him deeper as a solution. The better bet in my opinion is to star the season with Eze as a 10, and let Saka and Odegaard have a solid rest. Then we work them back into the fold and see if Odegaard can displace what Eze is contributing.
