Ødegaard has his faults. Work rate, urgency or attitude aren't among them. He's one of the fussiest, most neurotically hard-working players I've seen run out for Arsenal.
To me we've seen a slight stripe of physical timidity in Ødegaard since his injuries, and there's always been a slight deficiency of strength and athleticism (relative to Rice for instance), and he's less confident than in his best periods with Arsenal.
But he's still got the best final ball in the league and even in recent weeks we've seen a few proofs.
I think it's hilarious people question his "leadership" for not cutting in and driving one into the bottom corner in every match. Is Rice doing that? No one is doing that for Arsenal, but there's basically no one doing it in the entire league.
