Great game between Milan and Napoli.

Giroud keeps scoring. Shame he was never this good for us.

Kvaratskhelia looks like a strong contender for signing of the season already. Almost every touch leads to a goal, assist penalty or yellow card, destroyed every team he's played against so far

He's amazingly good. Incredible baller

Giroud is a nothing player.

Serie A is a very slow league, and he can keep up.

He would be lost at sea in the PL. Chelsea barely played him as he couldn’t keep up.

The boy is a delight. Pity some financially doped institution will bid him up to 80m pounds

Slow league or not he is scoring in big games against big teams.

I don’t want to defend a guy that played for Chelsea but wasn’t Giroud their top goalscorer when they won the CL in 2021? Remember a great game and goal he had v AM in the KO’s.

a month later

Osimhen goal was absolute class, out of nowhere. What an amazing striker he is

19 days later

Osimhen with another MOTM performance.

Becoming a complete striker who can easily occupy two CBs.

Beto from Udinese also caught my eye. Anything to him?

6 goals this year, after scoring 11 last year.

Let’s hope Napoli don’t bottle this title charge. Actually us and them are very similar this season.

Biggest difference is that there is no Man City in serie A.

Juve in crisis. Apparently they didn’t declare 216m in losses! Wtf! Almost as bad as 2005.

Time to raid them for Locatelli, Chiesa and Vhalovic (as a plan B for Jesus) this Jan. This is an opportunity for us that has come out of nowhere.

time to jump in for Locatelli.

Gone a bit cold on Locatelli, loads of niggling injuries plus he hasn't been at his best for a while now. He's also technically still on loan so any deal would be a bit more complicated.

Give me Chiesa though, that level of talent can't be stopped by injuries.

This sounds like the perfect time to be buying the player.
He has been far below his peak performances under De Zerbi.
Juvenuts are undergoing a governance transition and might be open to financial restructuring, including of the squad. Getting him out of Juventus is actually quite easy. All you need to do is cancel the loan, return him to Sassuolo, and then Arsenal does an outright purchase from Sassuolo.

Yeah but Locatelli rejected us 18 months ago because he wanted to go to Juventus. You'd have to cancel a two year loan after 1.5 years, convince Locatelli to come when he didn't want to leave Italy before, negotiate with Sassuolo again where Locatelli's contract has another 1.5 years left etc. Sassuolo are also on very good terms with Juve

How much would we pay anyway, Juve were going to pay 37m but that seems a bit high for a player who'd have just a year on his contract and is in poor form now. Definitely not "quite easy" because none of the parties but us would push for this deal

I don't think he's settled at Juve, and he is not being used.
Also the situation is very different versus when he rejected us. Arsenal have gone from 8th to top 2 in England and have the most exciting young squad in the world. Juve meanwhile play a style football that could induce such a severe sleep as to result in death.

Juve are skint. If I were them I would unwind an oblgation to pay 37m for a player they do not use. 37m for a player who will replace Partey or Xhaka for us is bang in the sweet spot. We should be spending 30-50m for our starters typically unless we unearth a future Martinelli

Ja. I'd definitely be in for Locatelli right now. Him at his best and in a functioning system would be a great win for us, and possibly him. Only question is if he's ready to leave Italy and try out his hand in the premier league. Don't see why not.

How many times has it happened in the past that a club cancelled a loan so another club could come in and sign the player in question? Genuine question, don't think it's happened before

Jones, you're right. I cnanot think of too many examples. I am just saying that the circumstances are in place for Juve to cancel and cut their losses before they commit a lot of money they don't want to. We could even wait til the summer as well.

Bennacer has changed agent, and his contract renewal has stalled. That is another Serie A guy to watch.

Isn't it an obligation to buy. Not sure Juve could just try to cancel it even if they wanted unless it was just an option.

Edit: Fucking hell Bennacer is just 24 even after all these years? Wow.
