Nah recent weeks in Europe showed some top class VAR usage. Pen wrongly given, fifth ref calls the ref within 15 seconds, ref runs over, overturns the decision, game back on in under a minute.
Getting rid of VAR would be the dumbest possible solution. Refs are the problem video assistance or not they need to be improved on, mandatory courses training etc but more importantly sending clearly corrupt ones to prison.
