Meaning that relatively weak domestic form doesn't necessarily translate into similar European form. It's quite amazing to think that the respective domestic forms of two European clubs against two different sets of opposition, tells you anything meaningful about each others prospects in a completely different competition and format. European competition wouldn't have been pioneered if you could make a reasonable judgment like Arsenal beat Liverpool and Dortmund beat Bayern, so Arsenal should beat Bayern.
