This is gonna sound weird and I'm not 100% sure I'm right, but I feel the understanding on the right between White and Tomiyasu, and the understanding between Saliba and White are both pretty okay, but I think White does a lot to make those specific partnerships function.

I am Arsenal Till I Die best player is really stretching it but he improved in the 2nd half for sure. There's not much between him and Tomi atm as you can see when Tomi came on we had very good movement down the right too and he overlapped better to help Saka.

I think White is simply tired after the world cup. He looks less agile for some reason and accelerate slower than usual. Even for all the through balls you can tell he really had to work to get to the end of a simple pass

His body is probably not used to the demands of a long season playing at right back. But yeah, he simply looks shattered to me. Hes completed 90 minutes three times since the World Cup.

Probably our most unfairly maligned player. He gets tired, but still so important. Better than Tomiyasu quite comfortably, and I love Takehiro.

Coombs I'm not comparing him to anyone else. I'm comparing him to his form pre world cup. He's been poor.

I don't think theres any real distance between the 2 of them. Both very good players neither are in great form though.

I do think White getting more licence on the overlap has been good for him. He has quality there. If we want to be more dangerous we need to bring him into it more.

Also, why would fatigue be bothering our players more than any other team? Arguably our most in form player is the one who got most minutes at the World Cup. White left early, Odegaard and MAGA Gabriel didn’t travel, Saliba wasn’t involved, etc. We are out of most other comps and are basically playing once a week for the most part. I don’t buy the “we are tired” line of argument.

flobaba it's not an argument. we have young players, many of which are yet to hit their prime. stamina will improve. White and Odegaard in particular need to improve on that front. This is the former's first season playing a very demanding role, physically.

that he gets tired is something he needs to improve. nothing to do with using the match schedule as an excuse.

Coombs Agree and it's not just physical. Mentally as well being consistent week in, week out is taxing.

That, and the fact that we've had basically no squad for the first half of the season. White is one of many that have played an awful lot of hard Premier League minutes.

Fullbacks are usually the most exposed and often criticised players on the pitch. You don't get through a season with some errors that look like big gaffs. All our fullbacks have had them lately, or at least the ones who play anyway. White is a victim of that as much as anything. Plus with the way we play there isn't the chance for redemption the way more attacking full backs can gain some extra good will after errors.

Think Rickys point about minutes played is a good one too. We've quite a few in that boat at the moment. Odegaard springs to mind straight away.

Considering our backup RB it's not good management if his dip in form is because of too many minutes.

QuincyAbeyie not sure Tomiyasu has been healthy enough, at the right times, to spot White much of a breather though.

I also think there’s a noticeable drop off between them though I’m probably in the monitoring on that.

I think thats fair too and given how tired a few look rotation is going to be even more important in this second half of the season. We have decent options in most areas now, its just a case of using them without throwing the balance off too much. Easier said than done of course.
