I think that's spot on. There's still time to correct it though if we splash senselessly from now till the end of the window then the 50m would be nothung in that context

Spot on. It took Stones 2 years to look the part and it might take White that too but people are very quick to dismiss players who aren't doing well, especially if they have a big price tag. We should be critical of the deal while giving White himself a bit of room to grow.

I'm not a fan at all. I think he is exactly the defender lots of people seem to be assuming Ben White is. All style and no substance. And I don't think he's particularly good on the ball either.

Considering how many other CBs have struggled at City, I think he's been pretty good these past 18 months. But I agree he's not someone you'd build a team around.

Willing to give him time. People are projecting their hate of Arteta/Edu and distaste of the Saliba situation onto the lad. I think there's a really good defender in there. No point fussing over his price tag now, what's done is done.

It's human nature. There's a part of me that wants Arteta to stay long enough to succeed just so I can shove it down everyone's throats.

In my example I'm saying part of me wants Arteta to stay on even though I know it's probably bad for the club, simply so that I can ultimately be proven right.
