Don't see how the reason why doesn't matter, since that's pretty much the entire point. If Saliba wasn't good, that would be a fair enough reason for Arteta not to want him and people wouldn't care. But he is, so it isn't, so people care.

My urge is, and has been for a long time, to bin Arteta. Means fuck all unfortunately.

The actual reality is that we have a heavily backed manager who has deemed Saliba surplus. As far as your weakly fandom goes, Saliba is an absolute no-mark.

Class player, saw what he's capable of early in the 1st half today. Hard to blame him for the goal, he cut the angle but that shot power was insane. Shouldn't be criticized for Arteta's failings or the midfield in front of him.
