They clearly didn't want him in the first place, they'd asked almost every other manager in Europe first. Theres a reason no one wants that job.

Weird that Conte has changed his mind since just this summer. Maybe he was hoping United would be in for him.

Conte would fail hard there. Levy being a tight prick and Paratici being a monkey in a suit won't work well with Conte's demands, also the fact their squad is a mess right now. Nuno is a good coach under the right circumstances but he was set up to fail there

Don't like reframing results because of others, you keep doing that and the Palace draw becomes good because of City losing to them but also the Villa win becomes poor because they just lost at home even worse vs West Ham.

Win more consistently and slips up become more acceptable.

That I agree with. Consistency in results is the only relevant factor and that is only sustainable through consistent performances. On that front we're a couple weeks if not months away before we can claim yet again that we've turned a corner.

Yeah I meant reframing results based on our own results rather than the opposition, basically links back to consistency.

I'd be amazed on Conte decided to go there, can only imagine Spurs will be offering him a big, and apparently long term contract. If so it's a dangerous move. I have to say I'd much rather he go there than United.

I like Nuno; well spoken, calm and dignified, interesting approach and results with Wolves. Although it was step up, he should not have signed the dotted line as the others avoided.

If I was on that board I’d seriously call for Levy’s head. The mascot of Spursy.

Levy doesn't only run the club he owns a big share of it. He's a billionaire himself and the only guy who's richer and owns a bigger percentage of the club is Lewis and him and Levy have been close since the 80s. No doubt Levy will run Spurs until the day he dies.

I think Conte going to Spurs is incredibly bad news for us. I hope it doesn't happen.

Of the PL clubs he could go to, seems Tottenham is the least dangerous.

He is but he can't turn water into wine. He wouldn't fall out with his respective clubs over recruitment if the players available to him didn't matter.

I guess the concern is he'll fire up the likes of Kane and Son again and allow the team to have a pulse, but ultimately Hojbjerg, Skipp and Dier are still going to be shit.

Kane and Son were firing on all cylinders last season and Spurs finished 7th. They'll be slightly more likely to finish above us with Conte than Nuno but thats about as far it'll go I think. Like Goon says he doesn't have much to work with. I wouldn't even be sure he can fire up Kane anyway. He is still going to want out. Hopefully Kane will go in the next 2 windows and Conte will be let spend the money on a load of 30 year olds.

No you're right 18 months for a manager of Contes pedigree is well short. Levy already hedging his investment before he sets foot in North London
