Looks like our long term strategy to regain top4/UCL just got trumped before it could really get going.
Not only does it mean we have missed the opportunity to complete a serious rebuild, but it is now going to be much harder to do so as we still have to address the midfield and attack.
We ignored the warning signs re CFC and MC, and failed to adapt to the mega revenues from the TV deals and the various opportunities to secure our position in the top4, so it will be interesting to see if there is any response to this latest threat before it is too late. Alternatively I wonder what the response would be to another ESL proposal, and/or if KSE would consider selling if a ESL scenario was not forthcoming?
