Regarding the match, it seems we are literally playing a different sport. The technique and passing for some of the players at pace, we are a millions miles from.

I rotate among Lukaku and Ronaldo and everytime I do that they don't score.

With City, Pool and Chelsea all in such good shape, this could be the most exciting title race in recent years. Such a shame we are so lower-mid table.

Claudio Ranieri has been appointed new manager for Watford.

I think that's a fantastic appointment for them, but I don't know if Watford have much for him to work with at the moment and he's probably too old to be part of any longterm project. It seems more like a short-term fix to try and keep them in Premier League.

Ranieri was horrible last time he managed in PL.

His Fulham team was one of the worst ever promoted sides to appear.

The Saudi deal is finally going through for Newcastle. Absolutely massive for them, they want to fight PSG and City. Definitely don't want to lose face to their neighbours and they have bigger financial powers than them apparently.

Absolute disgrace. Apparently they have provided guarantees to the EPL that the PIF is not Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia has lifted the ban on Bein Sports, which was a major bone of contention. Electric vehicles cannot come fast enough.

Just confirms for everyone what billionaire ownership of football clubs is all about, really—clubs are playthings and reputation-laundering platforms for the most part. I guess KSE is a different kettle of fish but I've got no doubt our man Stan would authorise an assassination or two if his bottom line was under threat.

Where do you think the electricity for those cars comes from?

Was just a question of time until the Saudis got their hands on a club too, UAE Qatar and Israel via proxy got one already and a bunch of Americans have been around for a minute so why not complete the war crime and human rights abusers set, between these owners and English refs this is as good a chance to break with this habit as any. Looking forward to Steve Bruce managing Haaland and Chiesa though
