From what I have seen, he reads the game well and is very aggressive, not passive at all. I really like White and while I am scratching my head over what we are willing to spend this summer, I am all for it. He has a very high ceiling and is Premiership ready.

I think wikipedia has his height down wrong. He's not a tall lad but he's taller than 182.

Agree Kel. Looks a really switched on highly capable player. For far too long we’ve had to endure flawed daft players at the back.

If I had to compare him to someone it would probably be Koscielny. Still a waste of money when Saliba/Gabriel/Mari is around.

But not if he is the key to our being able to play higher up the pitch to then allow us to press from the front.

Agile. Superb on the ball. Plays with his head up. Great composure.

Only think I’m unsure about him is defensively. Reading comments from Brighton fans a few feel he’s behind Dunk and Webster as far as being a CB.

He is however very versatile, can play RB as well which is a bonus as we are short there, especially if Bellerin leaves.

I get that having defenders being comfortable on the ball is important. on the surface this all makes perfect sense. but I can't help shake the feeling that our interest in white throws up too many red flags about the decision making process at the club, and that's before even thinking about if the player is even good enough
