There's always a point in every tournament where I don't quite remember why everybody loves it when England crashes out and then some Brit starts shouting that Pickford is as good as any of the other GKs.

England's effective got an advantage but it's like any other tournament host.

I think the bigger advantage is the fact that fans from overseas aren't easily allowed in which means Wembley's 90% home support.

I don't rate Pickford certainly not from his performances for Everton this season. So I was worried about him going in but so far he's avoided his usual poor decisions. He seems to prefer playing for the national team or it alters his game a bit.

There are a lot second generation Italians living in London…

I went to Italy Austria at Wembley last weekend - 45.000 fans and 90 percent were supporting Italy.

He's very well protected for England. Yesterday Ukraine had no space to do anything, when they got into the box England had 6 men there every time.

You can tell he’s not the calmest but he is decent, and his heart is in every kick or punch or save.

If I’m some Brit, that’s good enough for me.

Didn't mean any offense with the some Brit part, quite the opposite in that I was trying to say that you're far from the only one who says OTT things about England. In this specific case though I think saying that Neuer is the only GK in Europe better than Pickford and that Grealish has been by far the best player of the tournament are both quite funny statements in line with the stereotypical "it's coming home" attitude that has become synonymous (at least for people abroad) with English supporters.
