Yeah, they really have been pretty pitiful tonight. No defending at all, they gave up completely after the goal at the beginning of the second half.

England certainly have real quality in depth in the attacking department. Don't remember a time with as much as this.

Going into the tournament I thought CBs was the weakest position but Southgate's compensated for that by being extra prudent.

Stones and Maguire are top notch. Ben White will be too in a couple of years. Gomez is quality too. No worries about centreback for a while.

Pickford is erratic but he’s as good as any keeper the other top nations have bar maybe Germany’s tenders

I always though it was the centre mids. guys like rice, henderson and phillips are decent energetic players. it will be interesting to see them against a higher quality midfield like italy.

This Euros to be fair its almost like hosted by England only. They are at home for 90% of their matches all the way to the final. No other countries have that scheduling, its a huge advantage

Think I have to revaluate my estimation of L. Shaw as a player, and I realize I'm a good season late on that probably. He's got a scope on that left foot, and decent combination play in the final third.

To come back from the injury he's had and be that good is immense. He's as good as any LB.
