Anyways, I'd watch a super league. I prefer world class football to mediocrity.
All these fans going on about not watching are talking nonsense, they'll on be back on board after their sulk. This is essentially the top clubs wrestling away power and accountability from UEFA & FIFA and getting even richer in the process. Doesn't take a genius to see why it is appealing to them. This game sold out long time ago, lets not act if this is some saintly institution being corrupted by the devil here.
Part of me doesn't want to see the clubs have this much power but then again why should we feel sorry for corrupt to the core organisations like FIFA & UEFA? Those organisations have been getting away with all sorts of illegal and morally bankrupt shit for years and now they are playing the victim? The Premier League can talk, wanted to charge £15 a match earlier this season in the midst of a pandemic so they can sit this one out as well. Same goes for the likes of Sky & BT who are only crying because they haven't been invited to the party.
Perez isn't wrong when he says football has become boring and needs a shake up. Whether this is the right approach I don't know.
