So this is why I don’t like the Super League. In principle the idea of watching the best teams in the league every week sounds great. But two things grate.
First, the undemocratic process of selecting the participants. We could’ve used Uefa points or at least had a tender process.
Second, a good major league creates mechanisms for competitiveness, eg drafts and salary caps. I doubt that will be built into this competition. So we will see inequity even here.
