Gary Neville is fuming. I agree with the sentiment but isn't it a bit rich coming from sky sports reporters?

They're trying to build the same concept of the American leagues where there's no relegation. The playoffs are huge in this concept. You start with a group of teams then expand from there. It'll turn into a league with 30-40 teams and dilute the value of regional/country leagues.

I don't think it'll remove competitiveness but it'll definitely make the rich richer.

This too is an inevitability
The super league will suck everything out of the remaining game. All the best players, the pundits. All the international fans too. There will be no premier league, FA Cup, League cup as we know them. Just a minor league shell

Rumors that dazn gets rights or the clubs will do their own streaming plans to sell to fans. Just rumors though.

Makes more sense why sky is so angry. It doesn't suit their pockets, the hypocrites.

Murdoch doesn’t own Sky anymore.

Anyway this new Super League would have to make 3bn a season in TV just to match the PL broadcasting rights, never mind lost income from UEFA. They won’t manage it without the likes of Sky paying out.

Not much chance of happening in the near term but these guys have shown their true intentions, they'll keep pushing until the opportune moment arises and they'll force it through. Whether it's a year or a decade from now.

So many big names breaking away would kill football in Europe.

I mean no surprise that our owners want to go this way but this would be the final nails for me. The club I loved as a kid will be well and truly gone and never coming back. We will be totally divorced from our history and the last 5 years domestically is what we've got to look forward to.

The league bottom feeders and we don't have to worry about relegation so win/win. We will invest nothing and take the money. They will also start playing games across the world I'm sure as well.

Surely the PL teams have the most to lose? They’re getting insane funding compared to the Serie A and La Liga teams, and this would make it an even playing field.
