UEFA, the local associations and I think FIFA have all come out and said the clubs will be banned from every other competition, while they've also threatened to ban players from their national sides.
I just can't see it happening, would represent a massive risk for the clubs involved, particularly the English sides who already enjoy very lucrative PL deals. The timing tells me this is yet another power play but some of the sums I've seen banded about are eye watering.
