he's played wide for city alot, but I think he'd be artetas ideal 10. high workrate, technical ability and goals. if city get grealish, there's some rumours it might shake loose the likes of mahrez, Sterling and bernardo. we should be alert if Bernardo is available. I'd throw 40-50m down for him easily

They have made all 3 of Sterling, Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus available to Tottenham if they wanted, so I presume only those 3 are for sale.

yeah but varane will be on mega wages and white won't be. it's not just about transfer fees. and then the age difference, one you're paying big wages and a big fee for what he's accomplished, the other you're paying a big fee and lower wages for what he could accomplish.

Well the whole point of a big fee is you're paying for someone proven and ready from the go. Otherwise you pay less and develop the player. And the age difference is only 4 years.

Just to say at that package I'm not sure Varane would be good business for 99% of clubs. Torn and ruptured meniscuses in the past, 40+ starts in each of the last 4 seasons. Outside chance bloke's decline initiates before he's really got going at another club.
