Only four years? Four years is a very long time in football for young players. Four seasons of top level football experience is invaluable. In 4 years a 23 yaar old VVD (same age as White is now) went from being a Celtic player to the best defender in the world at Liverpool.

The Austrian league is minor, they can't charge too much for their best players. Keita was the most expensive sale at under 30m, Mané cost little over 20m, even Haaland was just 20m.
