What are you expecting a coach to be able to take talented young players and help them reach their potential. Get out of here!

Its funny when we hired Arteta everyone was bigging up his ability to do just that, trying to give him credit for Sterling. 😆

He has done fine with youth.. those with real promise have been given a chance and done well.. the rest will probably go on to have average careers.. Fans hyping up our youngesters too much as usual

You must rate our players higher than most if saying "he should be getting minutes ahead of Cedric" or "we wouldn't be worse off playing with him instead of Willian" is hyping them up.

Not really. AMN and Willock have already proven on loan to be good enough. That's not usual for young players who never managed to make it.

I dont think they have proven that. Good enough for what though, to perform like ESR/Saka have?... really dont think so.. I like Wilock but dont think he would have had any where near an impact as ESR/Saka.

Christ.. No, that's irrelevant in the decision to play them or not. Good enough to play at least as good as the ones who play instead is obviously the question.

Right so AMN went to play in midfield I thought? I wouldnt play him over Xhaka/Partey.. maybe you would?

Also, there is a bigger picture here.. AMN for example is one that we can potentially sell... much better to loan him out if hr is not going to significantly contribute. Same for the others

you can talk about tactics and our players and whatever else. but the mindset that arteta has instilled in the team is poisonous. caution caution caution. dont risk it. play backwards. play sideways. never forward. for a club of our stature to be reduced to this is a travesty

So since he left because he wasn't playing at all and his choice is midfield we couldn't have played him at fullback?
