It’s cute that you guys are starting to acknowledge what he’s been doing to the club for the last two years, but still think there’s a chance he’s getting fired anytime soon.

The guy is here to stay. I’ve been saying that since they gave him free reign to run the bad eggs out of the club.

I agree, when it comes to top 4 we do need to take it one game at a game. I haven’t implied we’re a lock for that, sarcastically or otherwise.

But whether or not we make it isn’t going to change the trajectory we’re on. We’re still going to fill the holes we need to in the summer, and we’re still going to take another step in the right direction. Having the CL would make it a lot easier to do so, but the project doesn’t die if we don’t.

I've made a conscious effort not to be a dickhead or go down the I told you so route precisely because of how insufferable I found some of the sarcy, bad natured piss-taking comments and having virtually all views being dismissed as some sort of sycophantic defence of Arteta. Not defending Bosscielny, but I don't think anyone should get a pass for being a dickhead just because we were suffering either.

I don’t deny anything. We were losing for a long time under Arteta and i was still turning up getting called names then.

We’ve been winning consistently for a few months and i’m still only here for a couple of hours every week or so.

It won’t die but it’s a massive risk to try and keep hold of Saka and co if we don’t have CL footie next year.

Getting CL footie will be a game changer for this group and the club.

Life is all about opportunities, let’s grab it whilst we will have the best chance in doing so for 3 years.

We can’t call any of our players World Class yet until they prove it on the CL stage imo. Partey May be an exception as he’s proven it but he’s been mainly shit with us until recently.

He may give us one years grace but if we don’t qualify for CL next year forget about it hence why we need to capitalise now as next year anything could happen.

I don't think there is any need to manifest this 'hold on to Saka' energy. Keown may have also evoked this in a passing comment in commentary during the pitch side celebrations? Its unwarranted for me at this stage

Saka is privileged to be playing for us more so than us being privileged to have him. Maybe sometime in the future that may change but we're a long way away from that.
