Not at all. You modified Coombs' post implying there'd been symmetrically doctrinaire attitudes on both sides of the debate over Arteta. The quotes remind how plangent the anti-Arteta mood has been here at times.
To find them I searched the word "relegation" from back then ā¦ that's the first page of foaming at the mouth I came across, but there are many others.
Can't think of anything comparable on the pro-Arteta side of the scales, no thread with a dozen posters furiously declaring Arteta must be given more time.
This is why people mention the vibe. We've had months of these tuneless dirges now, perhaps quasi-rational once but they continue in better circumstances, attenuated but relentless, from the remnant, hard line trombonists of the sad sack brigade. Considerable ennui derives from this steady snail-tracking of the forum with funereal slime.
