Speaking of shotcallers, Arteta's relationship with KSE is fairly interesting. I always saw the Kroenke relations with Wenger as standoffish on both sides, "just keep doing what you're doing" etc.
In Emery's case he was sacked while Sanllehi was still a factor, then there was the entry of Tim Lewis right before Sanllehi was pushed out for all that bad value, wonky dealing.
Something about Arteta, quite possibly that stolid, puritanical, predictable outlook, seems to gel with the KSE approach to doing business. He's like a Basque Lutheran.
