Has Arteta Truly Turned it Around?

We have a really good run of fixtures coming up so the club need to decide whats better, using that to try to steady the Arteta ship or using that a springboard for a new manager bounce to get us back up the table?

If they stick with Arteta every match for the next while is going to loaded with pressure, every result and performance scrutinised. I think they just need to bite the bullet and move on. Give the new coach as much of a chance to get us back into Europe as possible.

Arteta has overseen the worst run in our club history last season. Then the worst attack, worst stats and now the worst start to our season ever. He will still be here. Trust the process

Too many people bought into his PR. More than half the fan base was supporting him back then, board would never have the balls to sack him. We had people here saying in December we shouldn't sack him as long as we are not relegation threatened yet.

I don't think it'll happen either, but the one thing I will say is it was Raul who pushed to keep Emery (and even wanted to offer him a new deal) through the downturn.

Says he wants loads of possession but gives the likes of Holding, Luiz, Cedric and Tierney license to just hoof hopeful balls forward during the game or give the ball away right after kicking off, and sets the team up in a way that means players rarely have short passing options.

I'd add the handling of right back to that as well, starting from the signing of Cedric up to the present day. and blowing 75m on white and ramsdale. just disastrous from top to bottom. heed occams razor - he's a rookie that our idiot owners have put blind faith based on fuck knows what. I'm tempted to believe they figured they'd just copy what they did at the la rams, and it would work. and if it didn't, the superleague stimulus package was in situ anyway

I used to rationalize for myself some of his mistakes with the rookie excuse too. Now I think his ideas aren't just very good. He just isn't a good prospect even. Moreover, he doesn't show humility or the willingness to learn. Needs to leave this club immediately. We could have had a good rookie too.

Don't think Tuchel was ever a realistic option for us. I've been far less critical of Arteta than many on here, but even I said he should've been sacked last Christmas. Our upturn in results got me hopeful, but literally the first few moments of this season made it clear that this is untenable.

Edu has to go as well, though. He's presided over this.

Edu will eventually go. Birds of the same feather flock together. When the new manager realise he's shit he will be gone. He is only here because him and Arteta believes and condone each other, make no mistake about it. I do feel Edu has been made a huge scapegoat because of Arteta's PR though, fans blindly believe Arteta over him. We even have suggestions here that Edu made the team selection and decision to loan Saliba out few months ago. Then took some random period to justify that we are 2nd in form when one week forward or backward would have seen us 4/5th that Arteta is a genius its all Edu's fault we just need to change every player in every position to fit Arteta's ball. Hilarious

Huh? Edu will hire the next manager, so they'll be 'flocking' together from the off. Edu will also be their boss, they can't fire him.
