Recent talk seems to be thinking his recent press comments indicate he is not happy with the lack of transfer activity to purge and rebuild. As such IF that IS the case and he feels he hasn't gotten what he was told he was able to do, then I'd have more respect for him if he was man enough to resign and come clean, rather than staying on until he was sacked. Whether he deserved to be able to do what he was told is a separate matter, and IMO it is now looking like a match made in hell whereby the club is more focused upon not spending and prefers to raise additional loans to cover our operating costs ahead of actually looking to take the opportunity to spend properly and well. IF it is indeed a case of all bets are off re COVID, then IMO Arteta is on a hiding to nothing because of his lack of experience and single mindedness in terms of his project, whereas he should probably shelve his vision for now until the club is prepared to back him, or not.
