I'm not sure more fear, more pressure, and more wild expectations are healthy. I think, at this stage, the club should have internal targets that focus more on culture, identity, and squad building than results. We're close to sorting out squad balance, likely by the end of the summer. Then we can transition to some points and placing targets, but they should be reasonable and achievable so as not to destroy whatever harmony and discipline we manage to build. This is year 1.5. Year 3 is where I expect to see a more concerted effort to really push the teams ahead of us.
If we see consistent investment in the playing staff over the next few years, we should be a force again. If Arteta goes during that time, it should be to continue the project, not to start over. Right now there's just not enough to build on.
Arsenal fans massively overrate these players when talking about the coaching between games, then slate them twice a week for 90 minutes straight as if we should be dominating every game. It's crazy-making.
