One of the worst deal we have made, not in isolation because Sokratis was decent sometimes but because everyone knew he was an average player and not fitting for us. His CV said it all, but we thought it was a good idea to make good money for him and good wage. And all that in a market where Evans cost 3m, Diallo 22m, Akanji and Soyuncu 18m all with huge resale value. 2.5 years later he's leaving on a free.
If ever there was a signing that sums up our poor judgement and short-term approach that killed our side, this is it. Terrible recruitment. Like Willian, I think only a few here was delighted with Sokratis signing but our scouts can't see it.
