Christ Wheatley reiterated that Saliba is desperate to prove his worth at the club, which is good news. I suspect a lot of the noise around Saliba is down to what happened at the start of this season more than anything going on now.

Partey
Gabriel
Mari
Saliba
Pepe
Tierney
Martinelli

That's 7 players who I'd imagine most fans are happy to keep as part of any potential title challenging squad. I don't think we deserve as much derision for our recent recruitment as we get, too much focus on the likes of Willian. I'm not full of confidence myself but let's see how it plays out.

Exactly, our transfers are far from our biggest worry at the moment. Much bigger concern is the lack of rumours surrounding incoming coaches, since Arteta seems glued to his seat thats the most important position we should improve on.

Apart from Tierney and Gabriel , all the rest of them have been mismanaged in my opinion. Partey clearly not fit but forced to play , Martinelli sidelined while our other forwards dither around, Saliba issue speaks for itself , Pepe left out for Willian , Mari given inconsistent minutes .
The signings are ok , the decision making regarding them have been dismal.

3 of them are centre half's and according to most sources we want a new one.

agreed fully, except Pepe was probably 20 mil overpriced.

Supposedly we are looking to do the bulk of our transfer business AFTER the Euros = 1 month after the transfer window opens and 1 month before the stat of the season.
Supposedly that would mean we are after players who will be involved.

If that is the case, then we haven’t learnt a thing over the years.

Players will only cost more after Euros not less.

For example, Locatelli is wanted by multiple clubs, Sassuolo know this and have said he will be sold after the euros.

At worst you get what he is worth now, and best you can add tens of millions depending on performance and hype.

The only thing is injury, which doesn’t benefit either the buyer or seller.

We should aim to do business as early as possible.

I don't think anyone specifically waits to do business. We bid for EB so we're trying to get things done.

Players are probably a lot less sure about coming here than they used to be.

Players, agents, fans. Everyone is a lot less sure about Arsenal than they used to be.

Locatelli is a really good shout btw. I would much rather look at him than the Wolves Xhaka.
