AS : Beckham want to bring Willian to Inter Miami but the MLS club needs to get rid of Pizarro in order to sign Willian this summer. Beckham is also trying to sign Marcelo from Real Madrid, but the veteran player would not arrive until the 2022 season.

It would just show that we've learned nothing. You don't sell your best players to your direct rivals and you don't take their useless ones in return. How much damage will Chelsea be allowed to do to us before we learn?

Trades rarely happen. Players aren’t under a salary cap/ collective bargaining agreement. So there’s no need to take anything back. If we can get over £20m and remove the remaining £35m of outstanding salary, they put in a Position to go hunting for a younger striker. From a lifecycle point of view, Aubameyang is better suited to Chelsea if he can get back to his previous form. We need to get23-26 year old high caliber players on our books

Our rivals are Aston Villa and Everton now.

Auba is depreciating and peaked in 19/20. Sell him whilst we can and invest in the team elsewhere.

Just thinking soberly here. Aubameyang is out of sync with the rest of the project. He’s 32, had a bad season, and is due £34m over the next 2 seasons. If we can invest wisely in a good younger striker who can compete for several years alongside Saka and ESR, that would be good

In the right circumstance I would sell Aubameyang.

I don’t think Chelsea is the right circumstance.

Congrats to their CL win, but I bet next season teams start to work them out a bit better. They only finished a few points ahead of us, and if Auba had half the chances Werner did he would have finished with the golden boot.

Chelsea would have to overpay or give some proper players like James, or Gilmour/CHO.

Even after that, I still would not sell to them.

I would be open to selling Auba, but given the amount of positions we need to fill it probably isn't ideal.

I'm less concerned about his age given we have zero European football. One game per week is manageable from a fitness perspective

I’m more looking at if someone is willing to pay you money for a 32 year old with £34m outstanding, take it. And go buy a hot young striker. Between any transfer fee and wage savings for Auba, you should easily be able to afford a good young striker.

Need to stop viewing everything in numbers Claude. If a move doesn't improve us on the pitch then I'm not interested. The last time we sold a top class striker it took us eight years to replace him with Auba. There's nothing to suggest we'll have better luck this time.

It’s not about viewing everything in numbers. It’s about asking where are we going? We have a 32 year old striker who came off a frankly awful season. At this age, what can we project for him for the next 2 years? Is he going to deliver 20 goals in the league for the next two seasons? He had 10 this season. I’d be surprised if he gets to 15 in either of the next 2 years. Can we get a younger man who can a) get us the 15+ goals and b) the link play that Lacazette is better at. If we can do that, we absolutely should.

Part of squad building is also knowing when to sell players. Being brave enough to judge that you have had the best of a player, and your money can be spent better elsewhere. This isn’t like the RVP decision which i hated because he was in his peak. Auba is past his peak. Sitting in 8th place, we can afford to invest

Only reason to sell Auba is if there's someone out there that we desperately want to sign. Obviously if the offer is big enough then you have to consider it, but those offers won't materialise so there's no point hypothesising.

I really don't get the angst Arsenal fans have with our situation up top, it's the one area where I think we're in the ideal scenario, i.e. an aging but world class centre forward backed up by two really promising young prospects.

On a side note, I'd be willing to bet in fluid team Auba will easily score 20+ this year.

Everyone was awful this season, bar Saka perhaps. There's a reason Chelsea are sniffing around despite finising better than us this season. That alone should give you pause to think. If there's a realistic replacement who can match Auba's normal output then let's hear it, but it's idiotic to sell a player just to get him off the wage bill, especially when better clubs are happy to have him (and not in a Giroud-esque way presumably where he'll make up numbers in the cups and such).

Like goon I'll bet you good money right now that he'll score his regular amount next season, for us or someone else. I really hope we're not stupid enough to gift a goalscorer of that calibre to Chelsea. I mean fucking hell we deserve everything we get if we do.

Wouldn't mind selling Laca and Auba if it helps fund getting someone like Vlahovic. We need a physical presence up front.
