His body may not last in this league. The physical decline Hector has suffered is quite sad.

We need men like him in the team, though. Players like Bellerin are what's made Arsenal feel like Arsenal to me.

If PsG make a reasonable offer we would be foolish not to take it.
But as Coombs say, it will be sad to see another Arsenal English lad leaving.

Agree and well said Coombs particularly. I've been really appreciative of the way he represents our club and well played if he leaves with 3 FA cups to his name (with mystery surprise possibly).

While he had a torrid game on the weekend (who didn't), I think he's been quite good this season. Admittedly thats inflated by him not being punished for riding his luck on a few defensive actions. I think Bellerin could shine in another project, while we ostensibly need funds for the summer window. Although I'm in the minority here he's the intersection of a player we ought to keep but who may need to be transferred.

Lacazette, Guendouzi, Torriera, Bellerin to me are all players north of 20 million. Maybe even Xhaka. Anything close to that for those players and we get to bring in two decent first teamers with the same value. Bellerin right now is the furthest along to getting par value for the player. Just like Martinez helped realize his true financial value last season.

The challenge with Bellerin is I really struggle to think of many good right backs. It’s not like central midfield where options to replace Xhaka are numerous. We just choose to be a stage for his clownery.

But it’s also goes beyond the length of service. I follow Bellerin on social media. He speaks eloquently about issues beyond football. He’s our answer to Rashford. He’s a proper gentleman. It’s an honor to have an upstanding citizen like him in our ranks.

The question we have to ask is how critical is fixing right back right now? And how much is PSG offering - is it life changing?

Its a good question Claude. At the start of the season the answer to both questions seemed straightforward. Maitland-Niles chomping at the heels of the starter made it less than critical, while PSG's offer was low ball and predatory.

Never had much time for Bellerin after he lost his ability to play football. I would probably have been fonder of him as a person if it wasn't for that tape leak where he slammed the club and talked about trying to force a move and was bitter that Wenger had point blank refused. PSG can have his carcass for any fair market fee.

I can take or leave hector. he's one of those players that usually skates by because of the other perpetual problem areas in the team

Should definitely go, in my view. Probably the worst of the RBs in the set of teams around us with similar squad quality - Leicester, Villa, Chelsea, Sp*rs, etc. Reece James is arguably as bad, but he has 5 years on Hector.

That didn’t infuriate me nearly as much as when he said Sanchez’s desire to win was “too much” for the players.

He's a massive hindrance to our possession/build-up game, but even worse is his pathetic final ball. He needs to go this summer.

I would be suprises if KT is injured again we flogged him like a horse agaisnt city. Lung bursting runs all game. Pepe was completely useless and couldn't bring the ball forwards. It was just endless KT overlaps all game. We need to be able to burst down this right more and let KT catch is breath and recover.

The narrative painted in that recording always felt far fetched to me, it suggests he was bitter and trying to engineer a move months after signing a 6.5 year deal. Not unheard of I guess, but always seemed far more likely to me that it's fabricated.

Anyway, I'd definitely sell Hector if we get a decent offer. His recent form has been killing me.
