I can't fathom that we are looking to get so many players out the door / off the books in one way or another (sale, loan or free agent), without having deals lined up to strengthen the match day squad.
I suspect we are operating under the same transfer criteria as seen under Arteta thus far in that we are looking to reduce numbers/squad size AND save wages (rather than trying to directly raise transfer revenues via transfer fees received), before we are able to sign incoming players may not be his or Edu's criteria but the BoD / KSE). Whilst this would be a reasonable approach if the team was already fit for purpose, IMO it is not ideal when looking to rebuild, and akin to cutting off your nose to spite your face when both looking to sustain a push to regain top4, and/or when looking to seize an opportunity to sign top talent.
With less than 10 days remaining in this transfer window it is starting to look like this may well blow up in our faces. I am starting to get the same vibes as when AW sold TV to Barca and said he would be replaced in the same transfer window, and then we didn't and went into the season with only 3 senior CBs.
