I don't get it.  IMO we need to purge to be able to move forward without any baggage.  We're never going to recoup anything for him in a depression and he'll leave as a free agent.  Suck it up and just clean the slate ffs.

Why is that better? Wouldn't the only difference in cost be that we pay him his entire salary for the remainder of his contract now instead of weekly? That's not smart. Both because you don't simply pay earlier than you have to and because you shouldn't tell other players that this is something you're willing to do.

Agreed, you don’t want to set a precedent, arguably this is happening because of what happened with Sokratis and Ozil.

Just send him out on loan somewhere if you don’t want him around.

We’ve rejected Everton’s loan bid for AMN, Hector linked with Barcelona to replace Emerson who’s seemingly going to Spurs.

They want him to replace Emerson who is going to Spurs.

Apparently AMN wants to go but we now want him to stay 😆

Yep, we want him to sit on the bench another year.

Can't blame him. Go play for a proper manager at a decent team.

hey, guy we've frozen out and played trash players ahead of for the last year, you're very important to us. wouldn't be surprised if AMN hated arteta at this point

The last time we wanted him to stay was when Wolves wanted him and we sat him on the bench for half a season before we sent him out on loan.

My bad for not reading the full article as I hadn't thought he wanted us to pay him out on his remaining contract for him to go.

That said I thought we had already set the precedent under AW = didn't we pay out Denilson so that he could join the club he was on loan at in Brazil?  I don't think it was anything substantial.

As for sending him out on loan IIRC the player still has to agree to go, which is how Nelson didn't go on loan last season and Saliba didn't join an English club.

Had seen something last week that he wasn't keen because Everton want him as RB.  If he's now prepared to leave and do so at another club it does not reflect well on either Arteta or Edu.

What a fucking mess. Does Arteta have any control of the dressing room? Joke of a manager.

Another strike against Arteta and Edu

Well he won’t play now that’s for sure!

Great content for All or nothing.

when you buy a ticket for the circus, dont be surprised when the clowns show up

this club is in absolutely dire condition. my god

We're both saying that he's

  1. fourth choice RB behind Cedric, Chambers and Bellerin and
  2. Backup behind Elneny and some kid we just bought for 17m

While at the same time somehow expect other clubs to value him highly. I get wanting to keep him, it's the smart thing to do if he's playing. But based on last season we're just keeping him to sit him on the bench again.

This is just sad. The club is in such a story state. Players going public now. We are a car crash that's not ending.

spot on.

So the myth is busted. He wants to play as a full back it's just that football genius sees him as 5th choice right back and 3rd choice left back...but at the same time, is not willing to sell him.

Ornstein throwing grenades.

Another asset's value tanked by glorious man management.

He was adamant before this summer, until he realised it's the likes of West Brom he'll be going to if he wants to play in midfield.

I really want him to succeed here because I think he could be a really good Arsenal right back if he applies himself, and he's an Arsenal boy, but his attitude has been embarrassing in the past couple of seasons.

He's made all the wrong moves, said all the wrong things, when he should have just shut up and got on things.

I hope it can be sorted out, but I doubt it. He's too flakey and not serious enough. Even if he applies hinself now and Arteta/the club decide to trust him, how long before he gets fed up again or starts playing like he's been drugged before the match - which happened far too often when he played regularly.

The myth was always nonsense.

This will go down well with Arteta.

Sad situation, but, as I said above, he's done this to himself.

Been wishing and wishing he'd get his head down and get serious, but it's just never happened.

Fuck it. Just get Wenger back. He made mistakes but he didn't appear like he was out to destroy the club. How can it be personal with so many players? He is not a serious manager.

Fuck Arteta. Honestly he is going to ruin the club the longer he is allowed to stay.

It would be bitter sweet to get rid of Bellerin, only to faciliate Tottenham signing a very good player. So very Arsenal! 😆

Nelson going to the Eredivisie says everything about where he's at right now. That league is trash. I love the kid's talent, but he's been truly dire for three years now. I hope and expect he'll tear it up over there. Go on Reiss, get yourself back on track.

I also expect to see Arsenal fans saying "why isn't he startong here!!!" off the back of it! 😆

I personally fail to comprehend how Spurs will have spent 100+ million if they get Emerson Royal, given the new stadium they bankrolled, the big hit they would have taken from no CL/EL qualification and the job cuts they made.

How has he done this to himself? Arteta froze him out.

This is happening too often to too many players for me to start blaming the squad.

Ditto.

and honestly, its so much easier to change one person than it is to change a squad of 23 players

Just get Arteta out before he does anymore damage.

Damn even Ricky thinks our attack will be terrible this season now, or people wouldn't make those claims.

What are we doing? 😆
