Mate he has a ton of advisers who will look at the size and means of the clubs, future prospects, and how much he'll earn. What Martinez says or doesn't say is not even going to factor into the decision. If we really wanted Buendia we would have gotten him.
We probably didn't want to spend any real money on him because there will be less coin left for defenders or whatever.
