Very good first half from us. Winning the ball back so well. Partey has carried us forward a few times too. Such a shame we haven't managed a goal, can only hope we don't regret it again.

Laca has been good at holding the ball up to be fair. His best game for a while.

This has been the best half of football from us in who knows how long. If we only had better attacking players on the pitch we could have made it count for something.

Arteta really is culpable to a degree here to me. He’s gotten 3+ consecutive EPL selections wrong and to bad effect

Mancs have not been pressing. 2nd half will be a completely different game as I suspect they will suddenly start pressing then. They have more in the tank than us. We'll pay for not making these chances count. Only hope is for subs to create the spark.

United with the same game plan as against Leipzig, sit back in the first half expand our energies and then go at us in the last 20 minutes.

We need to be more clinical, played very decently but shit in the final 3rd.

No, he hasn't. Our build up play has mostly been on the left and right with Willian, Saka, Bellerin, Elneny and Partey doing most of the work.

Weird assessment given it’s our best performance in a while.

I'm a bit concerned at how exposed 1v1 our CBs are against their CFs. Two yellows at the back make that a concern.

Partey really has raised the level of midfield. Great to see.

Auba do your job....Stop hanging out with Laca, it's rubbing off.
Partey and Elneny solid, thank you.
Bellerin underrated and Tierney has not yet found his game.
Don't think that Willian is as bad as the rest of you lot.
Saka has got to score.

I might suggest that elneny has been close to our best player

I've seen how this movie ends

Yup. 2-0 loss with two sucker punches after 80 mins.

Elneny is really a different player under Arteta. And because he is more agile he is actually quite the opposite of Xhaka's weaknesses under pressing.

Need to get Nketiah and Pepe on asap.

Oh and Hector is our brightest path forward. Partey great too. I'm only worried about holding

We'll have to sub one of them in the second half for sure, probably Holding because he's the most aggressive one. I'd hold off as long as possible though. As soon as Mustafi steps onto the pitch the game is over for us.

Hector could have had a hat trick of assists.

I'm mostly worried about our press falling off. Hopefully Arteta makes positive subs early in the second half.

Bellerin has lost pace, but he's much better on the ball. Looks like a good option at rb right now.

He was really good under Wenger for a while too. It was mostly under Emery that he stalled.
