Starting Chambers did not cost us the game. Xhaka did.

So you start Xhaka too. You should be sacked.

They think it's Playstation. The constant quantification and virtualization of the sport has poisoned our minds into thinking it's about something it's not. It's sad because I can see our connection to the game as it once was slipping away, and I really don't like what's come in to replace it.

The thing is we are blooding youngsters. Our attack has been very dependent on a 19 year old and 20 year old.
Arteta played Willock ₄₄ times last season. The idea that this guy is not giving youth an opportunity is a myth we need to kill with fire.

I focus on underlying metrics more than anything. I try to only look for football data that are based on a description of what is valuable in the game. That’s why typically the data I will share will focus on midfielders and forwards. Because I think statisticians have been able to capture their behavior in data better than other positions.

This feels right. The dream of a team of children won’t work. You need to create an enabling environment for your kids. I always go back to Fabregas. Product of nature and nurture. Arrived into a squad surrounded by Invincibles and was able to perform at a high level from day 1. Look at Phil Foden as well. The game is so easy for him surrounded by geniuses.

I’m not surprised that Dortmund have been unreliable again this season. They’ve had too many games where they just got the youth - experience balance wrong.

Its not protecting players to leave them out and play Elneny, Luiz, Willian, etc ahead of them.

Claud you are in the other thread blaming Bellerin, Xhaka and Laca for our league position but we have homegrown or young talents in all their positions who could be playing instead. That would show we were building toward something. Instead its the same fantasy bullshit of we need to sign the perfect Arteta player in every position then it'll work.

Of course it does. Buck always stops with the manager. You live and die by your decisions esp when you keep making the same mistakes (starting Xhaka/Willian) over and over again.

Trust me, come the summer Arteta will have to answer to his footballing crimes.
