I thought, considering the players available and how the game unfolded, that we did very well. Their attack is nothing to smirk about, very dangerous players out there for United. Obviously they could've had a couple, but so could we have. Partey not playing well and still securing the clean sheet (with threat at the other end) speaks well of both the players and the coach.
ESR played just how I'd hope, and the 4231 really made sense in a game like this. We made good use of it, held our nerve, until the finish and then we fluffed them (Willian...).
Get Saka, Auba, and Tierney on the pitch and we may even have looked the better team. Very competitive game, quite engrossing honestly. Feeling more like a heavyweight fixture again, which I welcome.
