We should do our best to rid ourselves of anyone who's not 100% into the Arteta project. Luckily it looks like Auba is into it.

This gives my barge the buoyancy I crave and I'm not having it. Tet knows, we press from the front! Thats kind of the one key thing that hinders Pépé as an automatic selection and promotes Nketiah so close to contention. Pépé did get much better at his positioning to accompany decent effort as the season went on, I assume. Yeah it alone isn't a factor against the best, but PEA destabilizes the backline of a medium-quality side with that feature. Seeing that fear pervade the backline is hard to sense via my buffering laptop. I'm not talking about a man chasing ghosts, I am talking about men haunted by a ghost.
There's a mockumentary just waiting to be made about a Kuyt-style player with Auba-style veneration.

Apparently he's had no shots on target v Liverpool in the league since he's been here.

His record in big games has improved but his record away to the big 6 is hit and miss, he was non-existent the other day and for the first time in an Arsenal shirt I saw him sulking a bit.

Liverpool played him out of the game. They know that the only way we supply Aubameyang is directly up via Tierney runs and throughballs. So they overloaded that flank. And they used their left flank primarily for switches of play once they had pinned us back. They decimated us by doing this. We have no advancement options otherwise. Really good game from Klopp.

Aubameyang was a victim of what happened behind him. Offensively, Xhaka, El Neny and Lacazette were a Bermuda Triangle.

He's been a bit lost in the last 2 games. Has barely had a chance at goal. The ones he had were him forcing low percentage efforts. If we can't bring him into the game more from the wing he needs to move back to the centre.

Aubameyang was a victim of what happened behind him. Offensively, Xhaka, El Neny and Lacazette were a Bermuda Triangle.

Guardiola did something similar by playing with a 3142 and closing the channels = stop PEA and you neuter our attacking play.
We needed to change something in response = either switch to a 4231 or move PEA central and Willian as wide playmaker coming inside from the left.

Saka has to play further up. He's actually levels better than both Pepe and Willian, which must be embarrassing for those duffers.

Agree Klaus, Saka is our best offensive player with Aubameyang. They are the only ones who look able to make something happen and our only real threat. They should be the central part of our attacking strategy and don't shunt them to other places on the pitch to accommodate other lesser players.

It's a very odd decision for me from Arteta. There are lots of things wet may need but he has these players now and is choosing to play them where he is.

Saka is playing well in midfield too. Pepe needs game time now, he won us the game vs Sheffield dropping him now because he along with everyone else struggled vs City would be dumb.

Saka is a special talent. He looks so lean and small but incredibly strong and agile on the ball.

I think LWB as of now suits him because he can arrive late into the box and have space to run into. But anyway at City we played pretty much 442 in terms of average position, he was at LM and he looks really good out there being able to combine with Tierney and Auba.

Auba also needs to be more proactive and assertive himself.

I said it during the match but he's the one we look for when we're building up. He's the one who takes the most responsibility and he makes the best decisions and can be trusted. His understanding and reading of the game at 19 is incredible. He's got plenty of confidence too which makes a huge difference. He really is a top drawer player.
