Auba is supposed to be world class. Lacazette on the other hand, in my book, is a B- to D+ level striker. I wouldn’t take any favorable comparisons to him as a compliment or reason for optimism.

No disagreement with that but we are a bang average side right now so any striker probably would struggle in this team and he's come off the back of 2 exceptional seasons where he outperformed.

He's definitely off but he was never going to maintain the numbers of the last few seasons alone. A better side around him I'd be way more worried but he's personally dropped off for sure I can't say it's not down to form for now. So that's why I do hear the concern but I can't see the rationale will he's finished need to get rid etc because even in a total dip he's still nearly out top goalscorer.

When we were winning things, our most flamboyant player was Freddie. Loveable, quality, but by no means was he indispensable. These sort of things for me are distractions, and sort of indicate what a player’s mindset is like. It has nothing to do with his quality, but rather his attitude or priorities. If I were him, I’d definitely not be thinking about my new look while in the midst of the sort of form he’s been in. And I’m definitely not going to be social mediarizing about it.

He’s our captain and highest earning player. Shouldn’t need ‘confidence’. Good on Arteta for laying down the law on him, prob should have been done sooner.

The real Auba has shown his face this season, the same one that a lot of ppl said was a bad influence in the dressing room at Dortmund etc.

The one thing that these performances draws you to is his deal. We are probably paying him the way we should’ve when he first arrived and was one of the best strikers in the world. Now we could be stuck with a deteriorating striker and a big salary.
