Has been a very good signing to date, not just in terms of his individual performances or style, but just as importantly how well he has settled to the pace of the PL and the confidence he brings to the defence.

Watched old highlights of Ceballos during his Real Betis days and he was actually a proper #10. Wonder why he doesn’t play that way anymore? He could potentially solve our creativity problems if we actually unleash him fully.

He has commented on Arteta changing his role to play deeper - me thinks as a requirement to playing alongside Xhaka.
Now we have found a solid midfield pairing in Elneny and Partey I'd like to see us switch back to a 4231 with Partey & Elneny as twin pivots and Ceballos as #10.

It's worth seeing him there but we have used him in such a role a few times in the past and he didn't do much.

He did come with a reputation of being an 8 or a 10, but you just feel the premier league moves a little too fast for him to play between the lines. He doesn't have that burst that non-washed ozil had to make space for himself, and still has a tendency to dwell on the ball

Great news! Big Gabi's got his issues (who doesn't) but i don't think they're ones that he won't overcome with time. Loving how proactive we have been the last few years with handing out new contracts and rewarding good form.

Wouldn't surprise me if Saka, Martinelli and Saliba hold off until after the world cup, but i'm not particularly worried about any of them not signing eventually.
