Just took a look at the Madrid subforum and seems like Marcelo/Isco are their version of Lacazette/Willain.

A huge number of their fanbase have turned against Vinicius, Asensio and Jovic from the younger players.

Lol. That team has been the definition of inconsistent this season. It’s basically been Benzema, Modric, Ramos, Varane holding it together game to game. Valverde has also been good. Lots of players have been below par, particularly those guys you mention. Jovic has been diabolical. Vinicius has been very up and down. Don’t know if you saw the video of Benzema asking the other players to deny him the ball 😆

Yeah, I saw that and personally would not blame Benzema (who has been single-handedly carrying their attack) for that.

Vinicius lately looks like a Gervinho at his worst.

Extremely unreliable with his final pass and finishing and constantly giving the ball away.

Madrid fans will only be satiated by a £100m purchase. Hazard was a complete was of money. The youth policy is barely working out - particularly for a club that doesn't exercise patience. Very fortunate that Barcelona is an ever bigger shambles and that Modric is ageing well.

The boy Musah was very active and energetic against Atletico last night. Started on the right wing. Very fast, good skill on the ball. Showed a lot of confidence, taking on men, and also coming inside to take shots.

If we could construct a deal to buy him and loan him back to Valencia that would be great. He's playing and learning. I don't see the point of bringing him in and sitting him behind Willian and Pepe when he's getting more minutes than Pepe right now.

Atletico go top of liga and are the only unbeaten team so far after a 2-0 win over Valladolid.

The transformation in Marcos llorente has been astonishing since that Liverpool knockout.

He has gone from a mediocre defensive midfielder to a serious attacking threat who is scoring, assisting or delivering key passes in pretty much every game.

The ship has sailed. He signed a new contract keeping him at Mestella till 2026 with a very hefty buyout clause.

Another great performance by newly promoted Cadiz as they beat Barcelona 2-1.

They have defeated Atheltic Bilbao, Real Madrid and now Barcelona this season after coming up from second league.
