We finished 8th because Raul brought in Emery and then backed him despite him losing the dressing room towards the end of last season. They would have legit relegated us if they had kept going.
Cagigao brought in Martinelli last summer. Sven brought in Auba and Leno in the 18 months before that, and he was let go/got pushed out too because Raul didn't want to use his network. The StatDNA analysts were let go last year. It's not about not trusting particular scouts, it's about setting the club up to outsource most of the scouting to an agent-run company. What could possibly go wrong here.
Our scouts have been shit for years to the point we used Stat DNA, wengers vision or Kia. We all know or scouting department is shit and has been for donkeys years.

Lets be honest Cagigao must have been behind a ton of shit signings here, and he's generally not trusted. That's probably for very good reason. We need a top scouting department and we dont have one so here's the change we need. Everything was sloppy under wenger youth development was run my a human slug, physio was the old physios son who was shit and scouting was dire its the last think theyre fixing. If we dont bring in new scouts in a year or teo we can complain but at the moment its just poor timeing but should have happened years ago. Even emery was going for players he knew ratehr than trust this current team.
