I'm intrigued.
You've just reminded me, I've had a couple of weeks off and between my birthday and the Olympics, I've been through quite a few films. And a few films about making films
A Cock And Bull Story - Steve Coogan, Rob Brydon and Gillian Anderson. Caught between marvelling at its conceit, the pre Trip banter between Coogan and Brydon and finding it all a bit too pleased with itself. 7/10
Censor - 80s set psychological horror about a traumatised censor descent into madness. I really liked this, the last 20 goes a bit bonkers, but I think that was sort of the point. 8/10
Hail, Caesar! The very well cast Josh Brolin plays a Hollywood fixer in this 50s set Coen brothers comedy. George Clooney's willingness to dumb it up for the Coens on display again, this is clearly not their best work but I enjoyed it nonetheless. 7/10
Anchorman (I know, I'm 20 years late)- after 20 minutes, I wasn't sure about this one but it won me over with it's persistently silly (almost Airplane) tone and commitment from the all players to said tone. The one thing about the film which really pissed me off also got resolved in the end, so that helped my appreciation. 8/10
