Yes, i agree that the statement would have been more about profile. I said it several times when were discussing Rodrygo in other threads that i had doubts with his capability of handling the rigors of the PL. I think he would have been sort of like Reyes (RIP), all sorts of talent, but ultimately could not handle the PL. And at his price, im not all that sad that we did not sign him. But i would take him if the club miraculously pulled him out of the hat before the end of the window.

Qwiss Rumour is Joe Lewis children have pulled this off, Joe is 88 years old and is supposedly not in the best of health. This is the kids getting back control of the club before the father passes away. With Levy out and their own person in they can run the club how they want and they might even be preparing for a sale. As much as we laugh at Spurs they are a very well run club and have just built a brand new stadium and being based in London will also add a premium. Also arguably they are a CL club now, 6 of the last 10 years they have qualified for it.

Levy essentially owns 25% of the club so if it is sold he'll be well compensated!
