Oh, i dont know about that. TBF, Rodrygo would have been a 'statement' signing if we had serious interest in him, he is pretty high profile and is a pretty good player. That said, he would never have been my first choice because of the physicality of the PL. (I think in Europe, thats where he would have shone better if he came here).
The difference with Ozil and Sanchez was that they were 'out of the blue' signings that were more about availability rather than need. Both of them played well for us, obviously, but Rodrygo would have been the last piece of necessary business we needed to do this summer to complete our team. Hopefully Eze's arrival accomplishes that goal better, as he is more suited to the PL.
