CM definitely. If Lyon is as hard pressed for money as it appears from the pressure to sell Aouar, wonder if we should try to get Guimaraes from them. He'd be a great partner for Partey for me - high quality B2B midfielder who can evade the press.

Agreed but I don't think he will move here, same reason as Camavinga. Bigger clubs will be all over those. I think we have a good shot at Bruno if we had sufficient brain cells between the club's executives and our messiah manager to get him.

Yeah I’d go with that too, Kessie and Vlahovic are the type of signings we should be making. Maybe stick Chambers at RB.

Agreed, I don't think we need a full overhaul either. Just a the right players in the right positions.

And Bernardo Silva if he is available. Numerous reports suggest he is available and if he is we really ought to be trying. I'd be aiming for something like this:

It's a pity there's no good young RB at the moment, because the way we play fullbacks are extremely important, even more so than a top playmaker. Chambers and Cedric are average, Bellerin is pretty much finished.

think romano recently said barca view him as non-transferrable, but who knows with the mess they're in, they might become desperate as the window winds down

Chambers at right back wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, times his runs well, has a great delivery into the box and generally good with the ball at his feet. Quite flexible tactically too given he has experience playing at CB and CM. Just a shame he's not more athletic, but I think he's underrated because of it.

I don't see the point in buying a right back for the sake of it if there's not a markedly better option. Sell Hector and Cedric and sign someone young to push Callum.

Cedric actually looked ok last year. He's a decent full back.

not terribly fussed if we don't get a new RB, and persist with chambers and Cedric for now. there aren't many amazing right backs on the market anyway

Kessie is N/A for me because he will also go to AFCON and miss 6 weeks along with Partey = who is your planB?.
