The ball barely goes into the final third. We spent the first half pinned back yesterday. And then the second half jerking off in the middle third. The striker becomes absolutely useless. Did you watch Spurs? Would you get rid of Kane and Son for their work before Bale came on and changed the game? Kane had 9 first half touches and 1 shot. Spurs weren’t getting up the field.
We need to solve the issue of getting the ball up. The striker should be judged by his ability to get into good positions, take shots, and score goals. In the two prior games, we got the ball the ball up field and he did most of the above, getting a hat trick versus Leeds.
